    Count problem (Excel 2003)

    Hello everybody

I have a spreadsheet attached with some information in it. I am trying to get a formula that will count the number of items after the sheet is filtered with 2 filters, namely Location and Status. That means I choose an item from both columns by filtering and then I want the number of items in the blue box.

I have tried various array and sumproduct formulas without success.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

    Use this formula:

    =SUBTOTAL(3,A6:A164)

Thank you very much. I must say that I have never used this formula in the past, but I will definitely in the future.

SUBTOTAL formulas are usually inserted by the Data | Subtotals menu option, but you can use it in your own formulas too. Look it up in the Excle help to see the possible values for the first argument; 3 results in the number of non-blank visible cells in the range specified by the second argument.
