    Corrupt NORMAL.DOT (XP)

    I believe that my NORMAL.DOT is either corrupt of very flaky. It works just fine but if I try to record a macro and assign it to a toolbar, lots of other macros stop working. I've tried several times with several different macro names in case one was a reserved name or something. I have too many modifications to start over. Is there a tool out there to check / clean up a NORMAL.DOT file?

    Try Phil Rabichow's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word,197827>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word<!/post>.

    BTW, were the replies to <post:=650,248>post 650,248</post:>, <post:=628,557>post 628,557</post:>, <post:=613,518>post 613,518</post:>, <post:=592,347>post 592,347</post:> and <post:=589,209>post 589,209</post:> helpful? Since you didn't provide any feedback, other Loungers reading those threads don't know whether the problems were solved... <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>
