New tools, new features: Getting to know them

Kathleen Atkins

An upgrade in one technology often forces upgrades of others. Lounge member PamS reaffirmed this truth when she explained how she came to be using NotePad++ as her new text editor.

When PamS switched her operating system to Windows 7, the performance of her old text editor suffered — and she simply disliked the new editor. She went looking for a new favorite tool and found it in NotePad++.

She also found fellow Lounge members in the Other Applications forum who would gladly help her learn how to use the unfamiliar features in NotePad++. Check out the discussion.
