When the short answer is ‘probably’

As with other technologies upon which we heavily depend, we prefer unambiguous answers when we’re seeking help to cure troubles in a computer.

But as Lounge member grits found, in posting queries about folders left over after a program uninstall, the computing life doesn’t encourage certainty. Check out the thread to see what “probably” means this time.
