When the StreamMyGames website [1] started up last October, they got a lot of publicity with their claim that their free service would allow PS3 users to play PC Games on their consoles by streaming the game from the PC where the game was installed to a host console. It worked by using the WebTV protocol for sending the stream across the internet or a home network. As I don’t play computer games I didn’t follow it up. However I notice the company now claims that they are using the same technology to allow applications like Microsoft Word to be streamed to a PS3, Linux machine or low end Windows PC. Now that looks interesting. Thanks to subscriber Mike Bellerby for the link.
