Vista Runtime error notice (Vista HP-brand new)

How do you get the iexplorer runtime error message to stop popping up (and not opening the selected program the first time you select say yahoo or google). It works the second time you select, Yahoo, for example, but not the first time. This is just a minor nuisance...

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    Does this help?
    - In Internet Explorer, select Tools | Internet Options...
    - Activate the Advanced tab.
    - Scroll the list box down to the Browsing section
    - Clear the check box 'Display a notification about every script error'.
    - Tick both check boxes 'Disable script debugging' (for both Internet Explorer and Other).
    - Click OK.
    - Quit and restart Internet Explorer.
