    Find Dialog (All)

When you do an Application.GetOpenFileName or Application.Dialogs(xlDialogFindFile).Show, there is a Tools drop-down in the upper-right that contains a Find... selection. When Find... is selected, another Find Dialog box is displayed. Is it possible (1) to display this dialog directly, (2) add a hook procedure to this dialog box? TIA --Sam

    Re: Find Dialog (All)

In Excel 2002 and 2003, Application.Dialogs(xlDialogSearch).Show activates the Advanced Search task pane which has more or less the same functionality. But how to use it is not documented.

The Application.FileSearch object lets you search for files using code. It has been discontinued in Office 2007, however.
