    adding ' to a field (access 2003)

    Not sure if this can be done but I have a field in my table called appointment #. I have someone that would like to add " and a comma before and after this field. I tried doing this in an update query but with no luck. Is there anyway I can format this so that I can export it to excel? Thanks..

    I need it to look like this. Format : "0000000004069860,"

    You could create a query based on the table.
    Add the fields you need to the query grid, but instead of the appointment # field, use
    FormattedApppointment: Chr(34) & [appointment #] & "," & Chr(34)
    Save the query and export it to Excel.
