    Repeating a value in subsequent records (ACCESS 97)

    I have a subform where a combo box lists your only choices, and while that is great some users will be selecting the same item with each record. I would like to make it easier and faster by having the selection they made in the last record repeat in the new record.
    I want the user to be able to make a different selection in the new record and when this occurs, I want the new selection to repeat in each subsequent record until a different choice is made.

    In your form's AfterInsert event, place code that moves the current value of that combobox to it's DefaultValue property. For example:

    myCombobox.DefaultValue = myCombobox 'if value numeric
    myComboBox.DefaultValue = chr(34) & myCombobox & chr(34) ' if text
