    Running a macro ? (Access 2003)

Is it possible to run a macro or a built function without actually opening an access db? I have a macro built to export a file and I know I can place the macro on a button or when the db opens have the macro run but my problem is that the macro needs to be run every Thursday and if no one clicks a button or opens the db that day the file will not export. Is there a way to do this? Thanks..

No, you have to open the database for that.

If you have a PC that's on 24/7 you could create a scheduled task in Windows that runs once a week and opens the database.

See How To Schedule Tasks in Windows XP.
