Have some of the doc as marked as final and edit (2007)

    Hi all

I am using word 2007. I have a document with some tables and line, which I need to send to people. How do I make the document locked so that they cannot delete the tables, but can enter text/data in the tables provided? Si I need most of the document locked so they can not delete any tables, but able to enter data in to the form.

Thanks for your help. Attached Doc

In Word 2003 and before, I'd use form fields from the Forms toolbar and protect the document for forms. Form fields are still available in Word 2007, but I don't know if they act the same. Perhaps someone with Word 2007 can assist further.

Do you need to share with others who do not use Word 2007? (I noticed you saved the document in Word 97-2003 format.) If so, when you insert your form fields, look for the "legacy controls." It's possible that Word 2007 will suggest these automatically for a document that is in compatibility mode.

    (I can't put my hands on Word 2007 until after hours, so hope this isn't too inaccurate. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> )
