I'm posting this here because I believe this to be a setup problem with XP rather than Access. The problem I have relates to a charity that I do the odd bit of work for from time to time. They just have two PC's which are connected via a hub. The Access app resides on PC1 and whilst they can see the folder and the app itself from PC2, when Access is open on PC1, they can't open it on PC2. No message is displayed; it just doesn't run. The app will run from PC2 when it is closed on PC1. I suspect it has something to do with permissions or shares on the host folder, but I don't know too much about networks now, as all the systems I work on are already setup and available to the users! Once this is sorted I will be splitting the DB into front and back ends so as to provide a multi user setup.
