    Tracking job applications

    My daughter is after some sort of database or PIM or similar for tracking the progress of her job applications - something built for the task and ready out of the box <img src=/S/whisper.gif border=0 alt=whisper width=29 height=17>... not something her dad will have to customize and configure <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>. I can find heaps of CRM stuff for tracking employees, and similar HR-related stuff, but nothing written for this specific task.

    I don't know exactly what she/you are looking for, and I guess there perhaps could be several different programs that would work, depending on the exact needs.

    I guess you have looked at: since you know about There seem to be some sharewares such as: EZ-Jobs Tracker 1.3

    A PIM that I don't think has been mentioned here is EssentialPIM. I have tested the free version for some time and it is quite nice as a PIM. It has the usual schedule, To Do, Notes, and Contacts etc. One can set up reminders, sort in categories, set grade of completion etc. It's also possible to password protect. The layout can be changed in several different ways. It is possible to import and export in several formats. Looks a bit like Outlook. There are <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> and pro versions, and even a portable (also in <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> and pro) and a network edition.

    But as I said, this is a PIM and it is not geared at tracking job applications, so I don't know.
