Documenter (Access97/SR2)

I am not a programmer and do not know the proper or accepted way to document a database. I do know that Access's built in Documenter gives me way more than I want to know and not what I would actually like to see.

Basically, I would like to be able to print out a list of all objects (tables, queries, etc.) and their fields plus I would like to see how everything interacts. A flow chart type drawing would be great. Something showing that Table1 & Table2 are combined to create Query1, which in turn creates Report1.

Am I dreaming or is there something out there, at a reasonable cost, that would do this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There are some 3rd party products that may do some if not all of what you are looking for. Try these websites and .

You might try posting the question in Software Finds and Wants with a link back to this thread. Visio is the premiere product for this purpose, but it is definitely *not* inexpensive. As far as I know, there's nothing out there that will do it all for you, although Visio will definitely reverse engineer a database and allow you to document it graphically.
