Unhappy Outlook Express Windows XP SP3

After my recent reinstall of everything. I couldn't get Thunderbird to read my OE files that had been converted so I am now trying to get OE to read them. I have got a backup of the folders, about 20, and copied them into the default folder for OE. But it still doesn't see them, it just see the default folders and one other one. but there is no content in any of them. Any thoughts appreciated.

Unfortunately, those are not file folders as we've grown to understand them. They are indexed database files.
Before you copy the old folders to the new location, completely DELETE all the .dbx folders from that location.
I suspect that it's the Index file that's messing you up.

I've actually done that a few times, with no problems.

    Give that a try. OK?

    Happy Holidays!
