    Cannot display the view

    My Outlook 2007 was working fine before installing MS Updates, now Outlook starts with the message "Cannot display the view." Have tried running with the /cleanviews switch, doesn't help. Not sure if something in the update caused the issue . . . debating whether to uninstall the updates related of Outlook, or ??? Any suggestions appreciated.

    Can you run in Outlook Safe Mode? If you can start in safe Mode OK, you could try disabling your add ons in groups or singly to determine a culprit.
    You can use one of these methods to start Outlook in Safe Mode:

    Hold Ctrl key as you click the Outlook shortcut.
    Type outlook.exe /safe in the Start Search field on the Start menu and press Enter.
    If Run…. is shown on your start menu (any version of Windows) click it and type outlook.exe /safe in the Open field and click OK.
    Hold the Windows key and press R, then type outlook.exe /safe in the Open field and click OK.

    Can you get to the View Menu? If so, try setting a different view.
