Win 8 Pro Purchase-Problem Printing Receipt & Microsoft Confirmation Email

When I purchased Win 8 Pro I was unable to print the receipt. Also I could not print Microsoft's confirmation email of the order. In each case I got the message shown in the attached screenshot.

I do not have a problem printing other items.

If anyone can tell me how to sort this out I would be grateful.

    Thanks and regards, Roy

Would the brute force method work - take a screenshot, paste it into another program such as IrfanView and print from there?

I suppose you are doing it from IE? Does it happen also if you try it from another browser?

Can you just save the emailed receipt to a folder called receipts on your email client. Once you have Win 8 Pro installed and communication properly, you can then print that. Plus in this manner you would have both an electronic copy and a printed copy. Plus John's suggested of grabbing a screen shot and pasting it into a Word document for example, might work well.

Looks like a Java issue. Do you have the latest version of Java installed or did you disable the java addon? Go to http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp to see if Java is up to date.

As a workaround select the receipt text, do a copy and paste it into wordpad or your word processing program and print from there.

    Javascript I think, not Java.

You're right Bruce but doesn't the Java download update Javascript as well? I'm not a Java expert.

No, Java is not needed for Javascript.

This may help: You receive a script error and are unable to print from Internet Explorer 9

    Thanks to everyone who replied.

I tried various methods and in the end copied the receipt text, pasted it into Notepad and printed it from there.(I do have the latest version of Java).
