    Thanks Bruce

I had originally installed SkyDrive via the Windows Essentials 2012 with the older SkyDrive version.
I installed the stand alone SkyDrive Version 2012 (Build 17.0.2003.1112) on top of the Windows Essentials 2012
version and it seems to be working out fine, so far.
It will upgrade install over older versions without having to uninstall the older build first.

If you did download SkyDrive as part of the older Windows Essentials 2012 package, you may selectively remove
only the SkyDrive component and then download the stand alone version.
But you will likely have to redo your SkyDrive content.

You should see the inclusion of a new menu under
    your SkyDrive settings.

    More info here.

Invest a little time and energy in a well thought out BACKUP regimen and you will have minimal down time, and headache.

Build your own system; get everything you want and nothing you don't.
    Latest Build:
    ASUS X99 Deluxe, Core i7-5960X, Corsair Hydro H100i, Plextor M6e 256GB M.2 SSD, Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum 32GB DDR4@2666, W8.1 64 bit,
EVGA GTX980, Seasonic PLATINUM-1000W PSU, MountainMods U2-UFO Case, and 7 other internal drives.

No need to uninstall anything. I just downloaded and installed the new version with the older version running. It showed two "clouds" in the notification area whilst it was doing its thnig, but when done, there was only the new version left.
    Thanks John
