I just thought I would mention this - please put this in the right area in the forum:

Many people are complaining that with Gmail being picked up on their Android device using the stock standard Gmail supplied program, they can delete an email from their inbox but cannot empty the trash. There IS an alternative to waiting 30 days for Google to do that for you!!

Instead of using the GMail supplied app, set it up in the normal email supplied app instead. Then, when you delete any message from the trash bin on your computer, it isnt in the bin at GMail any longer. Works for everyone.

I have both a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Jellybean and an Asus Transformer Prime TF201 on Jellybean and it works on both and worked on the TF201 when it was using ICS.
