Problems with internet connections can and sometimes DO get really weird.

I had my cable Co. replace my cable modem. The guy just installed and then checked the new modem and left.
After he left I could not get on the internet, using the router, but I could if I plugged the LAN cable from my PC directly into the modem.

My Intellinet N router refused to talk to the new modem.
I tried an old Linksys G router and it worked just fine. Hmmmm! Idea!
I then connected my Intellinet router to the Linksys router and it worked!
    Talk about WEIRD!

My conclusion was, that the firmware inside the new modem was incompatible with my older Intellinet router.
They just were not speaking the same language. ???
    Who would of Thunk It?

A new Intellinet router fixed the problem. Intellinet replaced the older router under their Lifetime Warranty.

With many routers, you can download and install a Firmware upgrade, that can solve all sorts of various problems, both current and future.
I try to check for Firmware upgrades on my own router at least twice a year.

    Good Luck,
    The Doctor
