    HomeGroup Password

I set up a HomeGroup on my computer to make it easier to connect to my friend's desktop and laptop, which share my internet connection over LAN. Each machine can access shared folders on the others, but the HomeGroup password on my friend's machines is different to the password on mine, and if I try to change the one on my friend's machines I am told it cannot be changed. Can anyone explain this?

Does the different password cause your friend's PC to not allow connection? If you are able to share files between the PCs, it sounds as though the password difference is not making a difference.

If the Homegroup is having problems, try disconnection each PC from the Homegroup and start Homegroup creation process over again.
