Update To Win 8.1 Not Offerred By Windows Update

Windows Update is not offering me the update to Win 8.1. What do fellow Loungers suggest I do?

You should find the update in the Windows Store. Its not offered via Windows Update.

If all the pre-requisites are met (necessary WU installed) then you should see a large tile offering Win 8.1 when you open the MS App Store. I would also install any Store App updates prior to trying Win 8.1.

Thanks Jerry and Ted. I have been out all day and have only just seen your replies. I did in fact realise in the early hours of this morning that I should have looked for the update in the Windows Store, and I downloaded and installed Windows 8.1 successfully.

    Best regards,
    Roy
