I have searched for a solution to this issue for some time, but this problem typically involves public or shared folders or people using Exchange, which is not my case.

I am using Outlook 2010 on a private (i.e. not business) computer and this error message about lack of access comes up about 3 or 4 times a week. It only happens on my IMAP accounts, never on my POP3 account. Out of the blue I will suddenly lose access to these accounts - sometimes only one, sometimes both IMAP accounts. I have checked Properties but there is no option to set permissions for these accounts.

It is easily fixed by simply closing Outlook and restarting, but it is really annoying. Any insights into why this might be happening?
