    Cisco Connect Cloud Status

    A couple of years ago there was a flap about Cisco introducing firmware for some of their routers that required you to administer your router "in the cloud," instead of within your network. A friend of mine had a lightning strike near her home yesterday, and she subsequently lost her Internet connection. One of the things her ISP had her do was reset her Linksys E1200 router. She called me this morning for help, and I downloaded a fresh copy of Cisco Connect and started to re-connect the router to her modem. One of the first things I saw was a message that a firmware update was available for the router. I passed the update by, because I have no clue what the outcome of that flap was. Anyone know?

    I seem to recall that they backed off on that, if I am wrong I would like to know>
