    Printing Project files (any)

Our law firm occasionally received MS Project files in connection with real estate developments we are working on. All we need to be able to do is to print the files. We don't have to deal with this enough to justify going out and spending the money to buy even one copy of the program and designate one secretary as the official project file printer, but are curious whether there are free or low cost programs that will either allow the files to be printed, or allow them to be converted to another format and handled there. We don't need the charting pulled out, only the schedule. Is there, perhaps, something that could pull the schedule out into an Excel readable file?

One option would be to have the personnel sending the file also send it to you in Access or Excel Format. If they us File / Save As in Project and select Excel, they could then set up a mapping table to give you the data you need, i.e., Project ID, Unique Project ID, Description, Start Dates, Finish Dates, etc.

You could then see the data in excel format. The mapping tables are simple to use as well.

    Good Luck.
