    Suddenly no space!

I am suddenly looking at 54 gigs of a 555+ gig drive as empty, and I do not know why. How do I find the culprit? I ran chkdsk, with no result. What can show me the largest file culprits?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

Jerry, I felt kinda foolish... I have ERUNT set as a task every 30 minutes. I had accumulated some 150 gigs or registry backups! I've learned...I set a reminder to clear out the folder every seven days!

A registry backup every 30 seconds seems wildly excessive to me. Once a day would be sufficient, I just rely on System Restore and a weekly image backup. But whatever makes you comfortable. The only client computer I haven't been able to fix with a combination of System Restore and anti malware apps was one with a hard disk failure and a registry backup would not have helped there.

Jerry, it was every 30 *minutes*, and that because I had been setting up new software and neglected to turn it back.

My fault. I meant to type minutes which is still excessive.

Yea Jerry, it is, unless multiple software installs are taking place. I do that if I am setting up from scratch. I have had instances where installs screw things up, and that way I only have to back up a bit instead of starting over. Usually I turn that down after the fact to once or twice a day.
