All links stopped working in IE 10

Today, for some unknown reason, all links on webpages stopped working. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Try this first - open a command prompt as an admin by going Start - type cmd - right click on cmd and select Run as administrator - accept the UAC and at the prompt enter -

    netsh winsock reset

    exit

    And reboot.

If that doesn't do it then then try these steps http://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-in...not-open-links

Has any of the antiviri and/or antimalware programs become more assertively set? If too assertive, such can impede browser URL Operations. I had to dial back, muzzle-down, a few of my alligators in the castle moat to get GChrome and IE "URLing" to work.
