    Masetupcleaner install

My win 8.1 is telling me Masetupcleaner wants to install.
    Anyone know what Masetupcleaner is?
I have malwarebytes and Mcafee installed and not reporting any problems
    Thanks Jimmy

    Does this thread help?

When do you get the message?
Open Task Manager (right click on the taskbar) when the message appears, to see what processes are running?

    cheers, Paul

It seems to be a leftover from Samsung Kies phone software: what is masetupcleaner.exe

Several people were able to get rid of it by using CCleaner's registry cleaner to remove unused Samsung entries.

MASetupCleaner.exe is a process file created by Samsung Kies and stored in C:WindowsSystem32MASetupCleaner.exe or C:WindowsSysWOW64MASetupCleaner.exe. Have you got Samsung Kies installed by any chance? (or have you had it previously and uninstalled it?)
