Help needed!
I have two computers connected to the same domestic wi-fi network.
The first one is an ACER PC running Win 10 and has a HP Officejet 2620 printer connected to one of its USB ports.
The second computer is an Apple MacBook Pro running the latest version of OSX (10.10.4).
Before upgrading the first PC from Win 7 to Win 10, the MacBook could print over the network as follows:
- enable LPD Print service on the Win 7 PC
- share the printer on the Win 7 PC
- input on the MacBook the network address "lpd://IP address of PC/Shared printer name" for the new network printer I wanted to install
This solution worked fine until I upgraded the PC to Win 10: it seems that Win 10 does not support any more the LPD print service software.
If this is true, what could be the solution to my print problem? Has anyone already encountered thbis problem?
While waiting for valuable solutions, I immediately downgraded the PC to Win 7 and, of course, I could restart printing.
I already submitted this post to the Italian Windows forum, but no one could help.
