    Help with Windows Mail issue

First of all, I'm using a local account and not my Microsoft account/windows 8.1.

I wanted to email a link to a webpage from the file menu in Firefox. I mistakenly & stupidly clicked on "Mail" rather than the mail client I wished to use. The PC prompted me to sign in to Windows Mail which is not what I want to do. Now every time I want to send a link, the PC to defaults to Windows Mail. I found out how to change the setting if I was using my Microsoft account, but I'm not. Is there a way to stop this behavior using my local account. I went to mail, settings, accounts, but couldn't find a way for the PC from prompting/defaulting to windows Mail without using my M$oft account

    Thanks.

Try setting your desired mail client as the default mail app:
Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default Programs

Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set your default programs, choose your normal mail program and click "Set this program as default".
What is your default mail program?

    cheers, Paul

Thank you both...Dummy was not thinking of Control Panel. Your fixes worked perfectly well.
