    Word 2010 - saved document blank (= 0 kb)

    This is an occasional but recurring problem with three different users at our company: The user creates and saves a Word document and saves it to the network. Some time thereafter the user goes to open the saved document, but the contents have disappeared (file size = 0 kb).

    We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Word without success.

    As a possible fail safe, remote Word documents were set to back up to the users' C drives. The next time the problem occurred, we found that that back up copy of the document on the C:\drive was also 0 kb.

    Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    There may, of course be a problem with the network configuration, software and/or the user's profile. Does the problem occur if the users save direct to their local drives? If not, what happens when the local copies are then opened in Word and saved to the network folder, or if they're just copied to the local folder via Windows Explorer?
