Steve Gibson (Gibson Research) has also released a utility, if you are interested.

Very good! I will note that Steve does the one thing the GWX panel creator did not do: Steve explains just what it is his s/w does, easier to do because it does less unneeded monkeying around. He confirms the reg edits work!
When Never10 disables automatic OS upgrading, the following actions are taken:
Under the Gwx key, which will be created if it doesn't yet exist, the 32-bit DWORD value “DisableGwx” is created and set to 1.
Under the WindowsUpdate key, the 32-bit DWORD value “DisableOSUpgrade” is created and set to 1.

FYI I use just the former and repeatedly hide kb3035583. It is informative to see how anxious MS is to push WX

Lots of good reads @ this site on other pages as well!

Going back many years, I've been a real Steve Gibson fan. The first expensive piece of software that I ever bought was Spinrite. I use it very little now-a-days, but his little utilities get used on every new Windows Install.

The names of Steve's utilities reflect his great sense of humor. Like: The Decombobulator, or Mouse Trap, Socketlock, etc.

    Thanks for the links,

You're right! I remember now that Steve Gibson was the author of Spinrite!
