    Best Link Checker

We're using the last Expression Web for some straightforward web building. LinkChecker looks the best of a few link checkers I glanced at.

    Anyone got a better one?

When I worked in my then organisation's web team, I used Xenu's web link checker. It was very good at finding broken links (and other things as well if memory serves). Our website had thousands of pages so it was best to not to start from the root! Whether it's better than LinkChecker or not I don't know, but it served us well until we moved to a CMS.

That's a nice one, Access. Checking out Xenu led me to a couple of more nice-looking ones, so here's the summary I did for my own forum, for anyone else looking for this functionality.

    Links Checker
For checking broken links on your site.

    LinkChecker
    Top choice on Gizmo's.
Automate Link Checking with LinkChecker This might be the way to go, set it to auto-run weekly and you only have to check the output CSV report--no manual input.

    Xenu's Link Sleuth
Highly regarded, does a lot more than just link check.
Xenu's Link Sleuth - More Than Just A Broken Links Finder good 2009 article.

    Screaming Frog
Also highly regarded, and the freebie can do a lot more too.

Find Broken Links, Redirects & Site Crawl Tool
Another more-than-checker tool, eg makes a site map. Might be worth a look, IMN are a good outfit afaik.
