Sticky Notes that Windows 10-1511 left, now gone with 1607

Has anyone found a replacement fo Sticky Notes? I know that it is an old app, but the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10-1511, did not delete it. Windows 10-1607 deleted it. Used it for medical appointments for myself, wife and daughter with a mental problem. Tried windows calendar, but appointments would not show on the date I selected in the month of October.
    So, any suggestions?

    Thanks.

I have 1607 and also Sticky Notes. It calls it a trusted windows store app - and I remember a thread which asked if it could be reduced in size as it was larger than the old sticky notes app. Have you searched for it on your PC?

It looks like Sticky Notes is still available. I just typed sticky in the Cortana search box then clicked on Sticky Notes when it appeared in the search results.

It looks as if it's only available as an app from the Windows Store but I was able to get it working (on the second time I clicked on it) even though I'm logged on with a local account, not a Windows Account.

To make it easier, I searched for it again then right-clicked on it in the search results and chose both Pin to taskbar and Pin to Start.

    Hope this helps...

And now for something completely different...

Right click an empty area of the task bar and ensure there is a tick mark next to Show Windows Ink Workspace Button

    Click it

    and voila

I have been using the Free Stickies program from Zhorn software for over 12 years. It is great!

You can check it out at http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/

This has worked from Win 98 through Windows 10. It is very flexible and customizable.

You can backup the data file so you will never lose your information.

For appointments, there is a sleep feature which allows a sticky to "Pop-Up" at a time you select.

Nice suggestion! I've just tried it out and see what you mean. I particularly like the 'Stickies Stamper' for countdown reminders. Thank you.

They certainly look a lot better than the MS ones (both old and new). Now maybe I should try them so that I can remind myself to do certain things rather than relying on my memory. But I would have to have a reminder to look at them though!

The two little programs I've been using for years are simple, reliable, and fairly minimalist--they just do what I need, ymmv:

    Sticky Notes
Main thing it does for me [apart from basics] is send to any PC on the LAN.

    Easy Timer
Nice clean analog display, with simple-to-set alarm.
