Don't forget the 4th: Innovis. I would think the 3 non equifax sites would actually be more important to freeze. JMHO

PS took me several hours to get thru all 4 for 2 people. The CATCHPAS were a bXXXXch

PPS Just remembered I still did not get my free credit report from https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action

None of the redirects functioned! Maybe in the wee hours tonight....

I only got two of three credit reports. For some unknown reason, Experian popped up a message that I had to call them to get it ...

    For me too, I used

    1 888 EXPERIAN (1 888 397 3742)

No more than the usual hassle IIRC

The only report I could get online was Transunion.

Has anyone tried getting their Equifax credit report from the Annual Credit Report web site? I tried a few weeks ago when the breach made the news and Equifax's site was "down for maintenance" (I was able to get TransUnion and Experian wanted the request mailed to them). I tried again today to get my Equifax report and now the Annual Credit Report site wants me to mail the request with a bunch of documentation. There was no indication as to why they couldn't send the report online.

This whole thing is nuts. I hope the government is taking this WAY more seriously than they seem to be.

No, you see, their credit freezes are so good, they froze the web sites too! You can't be too careful. Or something.

I was able to get the Equifax report from annualcreditreport.com on 9/17. The other two wanted me to use the mail.

This morning I was able to do a credit freeze on Equifax & Experian but transunion is screwed up ( maybe the website is just overloaded ), I tried calling transunion also and it just disconnected after my info was put in.
    What a freaking mess!!!!

Speaking with my manager today, he told me he's decided to get a Lifelock account. I just visited their site (didn't know it was part of Symantec-not sure if that's good or bad). Anyone else using Lifelock?

Yes, we use LifeLock - but I doubt it is worth paying $20 per month. Most of what I have read about them is negative.

Lifelock has already been chastised by the Govt. with huge fines for false advertising in the past but maybe they have straightened up by now.

The least expensive coverage ($9.95) doesn't seem to cover much and $30 for the "best" coverage seems a bit expensive and I doubt they can make good on what they claim they monitor. I've never really heard anything good about them myself although now that they're owned by Symantec (which has a reputation to uphold) maybe they're cleaning up their act.
