Add a bookmark on Drop-Down List value in Word 2016

    Please help:

I would like to use a Field (IF code) which refers to a selection in a Drop Down Control. In the previous Word version, it seems that Control output (Value) can be bookmarked in menu the bookmark can be referred in the IF Field. However, I cannot specify Control Value in Field in Word 2016.

Please advise how to refer the value from Drop Down Control.

    Thanks.

You are confusing formfields with content controls. Formfields have a bookmark property; content controls do not. Formfields can be accessed via the 'Legacy Tools' button in the Controls group. Note that you should not use formfields and content controls in the same document; they weren't designed to work together and can behave inconsistently if you try.

    Unhappy Thank you

Thank you, macropod for the guide. However, I think a bookmark property in Formfields (Legacy Tools Button) does not exist in MS Word 2016... It does exist in the past MS Word. Please let me know if you know how to assign bookmark for the legacy formfields.

It is there. Check the formfield properties. Indeed, when you create a formfield, Word even supplied a bookmark name by default.

Thank you Paul. I found the book mark if I use legacy forms. Thank you.
