Full Screen Mode Snaffoo (2000 SR1)

    Had a user try to make the view able area bigger, she turned off the toolbars and then switched to full screen . I haven't found a way to bring them back. The file, edit, view, and all the rest are gone. Alt functions do not respond, uninstalling and reinstalling did not work. Deleting normal dot did not help. I've beat up the escape key with no results. I think the registry is hosed and I'll probably end up reimaging. Any Ideas???? Thanks!

    Start up Word to a blank document. If it still is in full screen mode, there should be a toolbar with a button that says Close Full Screen. If not, try this:

    1.
Press Alt+F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor.

Press Ctrl+G to open the Immediate Window.

Paste this into the Immediate Window and then, at the end of the line, press Enter to execute it:

      activewindow.View.FullScreen = False

Flip over to Word and see if you have a menu bar. If not, paste and execute this in the Immediate Window:

      commandbars("Menu Bar").Visible = True

Close the Visual Basic Editor.
    If you remain stuck in full screen, search this board for references to the "data key" in the registry.
