mdw file (WIN 2000 Acc 97)

Just for the fun of it, I made a copy of my mdw file and put it on my personal drive.
I opened it up and saw that there are 4 queries. They all made sense.
But there was also a Table called AccessPreferences. The info in there was from 5 years ago!!
No one other than me still works here, and yet they appear in this table.

What would happen if I deleted this table (other than the size of the mwd file would decrease after
I compacted it)? Why is it still there and why hasn't it been updated in four years with the current members of this workgroup?

The queries are current and only include the current members of the workgroup.

    Anyone know ?

    Thank you,

I would guess that your database was originally done in Access 2, and at that point there was a System.MDA file used. I don't know what the table you refer to is about, but I would probably rebuild your MDW file with an MDW structure and only your current users.
