    two email addresses (OE 6.0)

A friend has two computers and uses COX CABLE for internet access. The computers are networked through a router. One computer is used by him and the other by his wife. They had one COX email account initially but now have a second email account. The tech support person had them set up separate identities with instructions to switch back and forth. Would it not be possible for one computer to simply have an email acct with the one address and the other computer to have an email account with the second address? That would seem to make life simpler.

Re: two email addresses (OE 6.0)

As long as each can get to the internet and/or the email account provider, yes this will work.

I and my wife each have our own user accounts on our machines and then each have Outlook 2002 set up for our accounts. This will also work with Outlook Express and any of the earlier versions of Outlook.

"identities" are not needed using Windows XP Home or Pro. All one needs to do is have a different "User Account", and the each user must log in to get to their "stuff". One can do this on one machine or on each machine.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
