    Upsizing to Oracle (2000)

Is there any one out there that has upsized an existing access database to oracle? I am trying to place all my major tables on oracle and then link to them through an access interface. The problem is that oracle does not allow spaces in field names and table names. Is that any script that can be run to convert spaces into an _? If I don't have to change the table or field names manually, it will save a lot of time.

There are third-party utilities that can find and replace throughout a database, for instance Rick Fisher's Find and Replace utility - see You can download a free evalution copy.
