    Word Document--Word Picture (PowerPoint 2002)

After clicking Insert>Object, there are various choices. Two of them are Microsoft Word Document and Microsoft Word Picture. I'm not too sure as to what the difference is. Is there anyone who can help? Thank you very much.

Re: Word Document--Word Picture (PowerPoint 2002)

The "Microsoft Word Document" option inserts a box that resembles a text box, in which you can use all the editing and formatting options Word offers. Not particularly useful in PowerPoint 2002, I think, because the standard text editing possibilities are quite good, but who knows...

The "Microsoft Word Picture" option inserts a drawing canvase with the options from the Drawing toolbar in Word; again, not very useful, since the same drawing tools are available in PowerPoint. (On my PC, the picture vanishes when I return to PowerPoint, making it absolutely useless.)

Why does PowerPoint present these possibilities then? It just presents a list of all known insertable objects.
