This is on Exchange 2000.

I have a series of old email address to which I want to autoreply with a message that the addresses have changed. (We changed the domain name and will soon stop receiving email on the old one). I created an account and assigned all of the old email addresses to it. I have a rule to "have server reply using" and I have put an appropriate message in there. And the rule works ... for awhile.

It seems that after 2-3 days the rule just stops firing. When I log onto this account I can this wonderfully helpful error message: "Rule Name" - "Unknown Error". I go into the rules and "modify" it by clicking modify, then finish - make NO changes at all - and the rule starts working again for another couple of days.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?
