picture in a bullet list (Word 2000)

    Hi gang,
I want to customize my bullet list to include a picture (.jpg or .gif) for a bullet. In the bullets and numbering dialog box I clicked the picture button that only inserts a picture in the doc. How can I create a bullet list with my picture to serve as a bullet?

I don't think you can do this in Word 2000. Perhaps you can if the file is saved in HTML format. The closest you will get is to find a graphic which is a dingbat font character and use that instead.

From memory, Word 2002 will allow you to use a graphic as a bullet but won't help you unless you have access to Office XP. I don't know what happens when a Word 2002 file with graphic bullets is opened in Word 2000 but I am guessing you lose your graphics.

    Hi JC, try this:

    - Select the paragraph that has the bullet you want to change
    - From the main menu select *Format* then *Bullets and Numbers*
    - Click on the *Picture* button
    - Click on the *Import Clips* button on the toolbar
    - Navigate to the picture you want
    - Click on Import
    - Click on OK
Voila, your picture is now a bullet point.
If the picture is too large, you may want to reduce the size of it in a product that can do this for you.

    Good luck!
