    Comments (Office 2000)

I just got Office 00' and finally started using Outlook rather then Outlook Express. I put the program in my Start Program file so it will auto start. I would like for it to check messages right away (like it does), but Outlook Today to appear so I can view my Tasks, and Calendar while it checks for new mail. Is this possible, and there is a button at the top of Outlook Today that says, Customize Outlook Today. Nothing happens when I click on it.

    1. You can set Outlook to open in Outlook Today. It will still check for new mail. To set Outlook Today as startup folder: select Tools | Options..., activate the Other tab, click the Advanced Options... button, choose Outlook Today in the "Startup in this folder" dropdown list.

    2. See <post#=317981>post 317981</post#> and replies for the Customize Outlook Today problem.
