Google and Amazon have begun offering book excerpts. The Beta for Google is Called "Google Print." This is parallels a service by Amazon that began in late October called "Search Inside the Book" which offers a search and content preview of more than 120,000 books. There has been speculation that Amazon might get into the search engine business, but Google Print directs users to Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Books a Million and Google is partnering with Amazon in their web search and Google Print or "Book Beta. Google has offererd catalogue scans on line for two years with, there is also Google wireless, Google parcel search, and a search on google by phone call. Google has begun talks with university libraries on converting their collections to digital format. This raises the issue of Napster-esque book issues:
