This does void the warranty but whaddya gonna do buy a new IPOD when your battery is out?; Apple will do it for $90--this is for $60. But I don't think this violates any Lounge rules or any laws. It just broadens your Ipod horizons. Hacking an Ipod is more my speed than hacking an X-Box or TIVO (the XBox book is now in mainstream bookstores after the publishers at first balked at publishing it for the MIT grad student). What happened to the days when you just unscrewed your flashlight and put in them batteries? I understand that you can't put 10,000 songs on a flashlilght unless you glue a 40GB ipod to it. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
