Customizing Changing Menu Commands (Excel 2000, XP, 2003)

I would like to change the "Freeze Panes", "Unfreeze Panes" menu commands to "Freeze Panes", "Thaw Panes". (Yes, I know it's trivial). The only way I can see the Unfreeze Panes menu command is to freeze some panes on a worksheet and then go into Tools, Customize, and change the UnFreeze Panes menu command to "Thaw Panes". However once I do this, it always says "Thaw Panes", even though the command still works and will Freeze and Unfreeze the Panes. Does anyone know how to change a toggle menu command so that both options will continue to appear?

I know this is a trivial request, but I'd like to have "Thaw" appear in a presentation. And if someone can help me here, then "Unhide" is next!

The only way to do this is to change the menu item in question programmatically and attach a macro to the item that performs the task it should and changes the caption of the item.
    See the attached workbook.
Note that it does not update the menu when you change to a different sheet.
