1. ## A Cool Alphametic

Also known as cryptarithms. The idea is to substitute a number for each letter so that the indicated arithmetic is correct. No two distinct letters can be given the same number, and once a number has been substituted for a letter, it must substitute for each appearance of that letter (within the given problem / equation). As is the common case, a zero may not be substituted for the letter in the far left position.

The following alphametic is not that difficult, but it is special. The equation is already true in Roman Numerals; that is, 44 x 10 = 440. Your challenge is to make the equation true with regular numerals. There are two solutions...
