1. ## Babysitting Dilema

Suppose that a babysitter had a choice of two payment options:

1) Accept a flat rate of \$15 for a night's work, or

2) Choosing two of six sealed envelopes containing \$1, \$1, \$5, \$5, \$10 and a \$20 bill.

Note that the second option could leave you with as little as \$2 or as much as \$30 for a night's work. Assuming that you'd get to babysit for a long, long time, which is the better payment option?

2 of \$1, \$1, \$5, \$5, \$10, \$20 will average (1+1+5+5+10+20)/3 = \$14 over a long time
