    Calendar abort: MSVCRT.dll

    I am using Outlook 98, (8.5.5104.6)
I was trying to add a calendar item and got an error:
"This program has performed an illegal operation"
    "and will be shut down."
"If the problem persists, contact the program vendor."

I click on "DETAILS" and get the following:

OUTLOOK caused an invalid page fault in
    module MSVCRT.DLL at 0167:78005149.

I checked and have the msvcrt.dll.
Do you have any idea what is causing this?

Is there any way to reload just the msvcrt.dll in case it got corrupted?

    Thanks, Bruce

    Re: Calendar abort: MSVCRT.dll

what os? if it has SFC (system file checker) run it and it will replace hte dll if needed. you could also rerun setup and reinstall over itself - that often fixes problems.

see this for the likely cause of your problems...
